The genocide has been going on in Gaza for a good six months now. During this time killing of doctors, nurses, paramedics, aid workers, and journalists have become such a common place that no news outlet bats an eyelid over these. Spare a thought for the general populous of the tiny enclave. Mass slaughter is the new norm.

The world came together to condemn October 7th. Yet there has been 30 more October 7s since, with complete impunity. In fact it has happened as western leaders have clamoured to insist the last western colonial outpost has a right to defend itself. They have complicit with funding, supplying munitions, and providing diplomatic cover.

In this environment the volunteers from the World Central Kitchen have been a breath of fresh air, dedicating their own life and safety to bring much needed aid to a population being intentionally starved as a weapon of war. Their contribution will be remembered on the right side of history.

Their targeted killing at the hands of the Israeli Occupation Forces has managed to achieve what 196 Palestinian aid workers, 130 journalists, 41 civil defence workers, 326 health professionals, 14,350 children, and 8,620 women have not. Generate condemnation at the corridors of western power for this indiscriminate genocide. White lives do matter.

It remains to be seen whether this condemnation actually achieves something. Israel has effectively driven out UNRWA from Gaza. This will now drive the rest of the NGOs out. Implementing famine has just got easier.
